ABOUT US

Çorum Chamber of Commerce and Industry has contributed our Çorum province economic development and growth with approximately 4600 members and from its foundation to today’s 100 years history. Hardworking, efforts of members which invest their acquisitions in Çorum province after they gained has transformed our city one of charming centers of Anatolian.

Çorum Chamber of Commerce and Industry was Founded in 1910, the Çorum Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with its member companies seeks to realize the vision of Çorum as the centre of economic growth in TR83 region of Turkey.

Çorum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which continues its activities in accordance with Turkish Association of Chambers and Stock Exchange  (TOBB )Act no: 5174 and the Chambers and Stock Exchange Act, still serves public organizations and institutions. The Turkish Chambers are based on obligatory membership.

The Chamber staff is developed in different areas and service available to member companies for advice on business matters such as import/export, business agreements, business organization, business consulting for EU or local funds, taxation, labour laws, legislation, regulations, rules and trade practices.. The Çorum Chamber of Commerce and Service is still in service in this modern business centre building.

BEST PRACTICES AND EXPERTISE OF ÇORUM CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY, TURKEY

 

There have been  a lot of activities such as training events , orientation and guidance implemented by the Chamber.

- It has provided necessary financial and administrative resources by attempting to establish Çorum European Union Business Development Centre in the presence of Turkey union of Chamber and Commodity Exchanges and our province has gained ABİGEM

-Every year traditional Trade and Industry Fair is held in the Fair and Exhibition Complex which has approximately 20.000 m2 open and 7.500 m’ closed area also agricultural fairs have been held in various times and it hosted many more organizations. Also an agreement has been made with  a leading fair company in Turkey and our fair center has become the level of holding 5 or 10  fairs every year.

-Training event about subjects EU grant programmers, R&D and innovation strategy, sale and Marketing, Strategic Planning, Brand Management, Institutionalizations and briefing meetings about many subjects an economy and promotion law.

-Conferences, symposiums and award ceremonies where bureaucrats and political people attends.

-Domestic /abroad business meeting, bilateral discussions such as German /Turkish CCI – American / Turkish CCI

WOMEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP   ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS

In 2010-2011 Supporting 50 women for doing business in Çorum by PROMOTING WOMEN’S EMPLOYMENT (PWE)

GRANT SCHEME (EU funds) Occupational Training Project for Qualified Office Staff aimed for employment Project. Çorum CCI was a leader of the Project and the Hitit University was one of the two local partners other one was Çorum Chamber of Trade. Also, Our Chamber Women entrepreneurs Committee supported this project.

Total eligible cost of the action 120.583,65 EURO- Amount requested from the Contracting Authority 108.525,29 EURO.

YOUNG ENTREPRENEURSHIP

In 2010-2011 Using the synergy obtained by combining facilities of Çorum CCI and Hitit University, supported to provide young people, who wanted to establish his/her own business, are looking for job and are not adequately motivated, via guidance, consultancy, training and seminaries about profession and career and shift from education life to the business life will be facilitated. Çorum CCI was a leader of the Project and the Hitit University was the local partner. Total project amount was: EUR 146.580,00 Amount requested from the Contracting Authority was: EUR 131.922,00

Young students benefiting from Guidance and Consultancy services: 298 Students

Young students participating to trainings: 1098 students

Young students educated via seminaries: 500 students

This Project was co-financed with the SUPPORTING EMPLOYMENT OF YOUNG SUBJECT GRANT SCHEME

TR 83 REGIONAL -RENEWABLE ENERGY REPORT PROJECT

In 2012 November to 2013 February – to research the potential of the renewable energy sources in TR-83 province, to expose the renewable energy - cost analysis and support the regional development competitiveness. Total project amount was: 70.220 TL.  At the end of the project TR-83 regional renewable energy report was established. This report took  advantage so many firms which want to invested this sector. This Project was co-financed with the MIDDLE BLACK SEA DEVELOPMENT AGENCY program,

SME NETWORKING PROJECT AND UR-GE PROJECTS

Improvement of services to SME’s clustering Project is executed by Ministry of Economic Affairs 2011 from 2013 Total Amount of project EURO 5.500.000

In 2011 – 2013 Through Clusters Info Spots established in 5 provinces, - Çorum – Samsun- Trabzon – Gaziantep – Kahraman Maraş - the SMEs are provided with strategic support regarding training, access to information, efficiency and increasing competitiveness.   Web Site:  www.smenetworking.gov.tr

It’s supported: Increase the cooperation between SMEs, Increase the efficiency and value-added of the firms through cooperation, Facilitate the access to technology for the firms in the regions covered by the Regional Competitiveness Operational Program (RCOP) and inform them about the developments in technology, Enhance university-industry cooperation, Strengthen the capacity of our firms to get into markets and to compete in these markets.

Following the activities to be carried out by these Clusters info spots, the number of SMEs reached 400. It also 200 SMEs included in Clusters that will be formed. 

After SME Networking Project finished,  2 UR-GE projects  About Agro Machinery sector UR-GE  project – Soil Industry Sector UR_GE project were accepted by Ministry of Economic Affairs. These 2 projects will be executed  from 2013 to 2016 by Çorum CCI .

Total per project amount was: USD 1.500.000 Amount requested from the Contracting Authority USD 1.125.000

Chamber Service Improvement of actions (Management - services - communication) for example; 2010-2013 member of Black sea Enterprise Europe Network, 2010-2013 EU info corners established it’s connected with EU Delegation.
